Urban mining is a big idea. Making it part of everyday life takes knowledge, infrastructure, and participation.

Our partners help connect the idea of urban mining with the systems already working to recover materials and keep valuable resources in circulation.

We’re proud to work alongside organizations that are helping reshape the way we think about the materials within our cities.

Advancing material recovery through innovation

ERI is a leader in electronics recycling, IT asset disposition, and material resource recovery. Its work shows what can happen when technology and circular thinking come together.

Through the recovery of materials from electronics and other products, ERI helps give valuable resources another life. The company also invests in the technology and processing systems that make material recovery possible at scale.

For Urban Mining, ERI represents an important part of the bigger picture. Products that have reached the end of their useful lives can still contain materials with significant value.

Urban mining gives us a reason to look at those products differently.

Connecting people with the next step

Awareness is an important part of urban mining. People also need practical ways to take action.

RecycleNation helps make recycling information easier to find. Its platform connects people with resources that can help them identify appropriate recycling options for items they no longer need.

That connection plays an important role in keeping materials in circulation.

For Urban Mining, RecycleNation represents the connection between awareness and action. Understanding the value of materials is the beginning. Knowing what to do with them can help turn that understanding into something tangible.

Urban mining asks us to reconsider the materials already moving through our communities.

Our partners bring their own expertise and perspective to that conversation. Their work helps show how materials can be recovered, redirected, and kept in use rather than treated as waste.

A more circular future starts with seeing value where we once saw disposal.

We’re here to help people see what is already around them.
