Privacy.
UrbanMining.org is operated by ERI (Electronic Recyclers International, Inc.). ERI’s Privacy Policy ↗ governs this site, together with ERI’s California Privacy Policy ↗ and GDPR Privacy Policy ↗ where they apply. This page adds what is specific to this site.
What this site processes
- Business inquiries. When you send an inquiry through “Let’s talk”, the details you enter (name, business email, organization, phone if given, your reason and materials, and your message) are delivered to ERI’s inquiry system so an ERI team member can respond. You confirm consent to contact on the form before anything is sent.
- Ask UrbanMining. Questions you type into the assistant are processed by ERI’s AI service providers to produce an answer from this site’s reviewed sources, and may be kept briefly by those providers for abuse monitoring. ERI keeps each question and answer, with the session’s random identifier but no account or contact details, in its own logs for 90 days to monitor the assistant and improve its sources. The assistant declines messages that look like contact details and does not record them. Please leave personal details out of questions; the inquiry form is the place for contact information.
- Find recycling. The ZIP code or location you search is sent to the collection-finder service to list nearby programs, and the map is drawn by Azure Maps.
- Server logs. Like any website, our hosting records requests (address, page, time, browser type) for security and operation, and keeps them for a limited period.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no advertising cookies. It stores your game progress (the house, the warehouse and the wall) in your browser’s local storage, which never leaves your device. If analytics are enabled, they load only after you accept cookies, and you can change that choice at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. A single first-party cookie remembers your choice for six months. A Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a refusal.
Your rights and contact
To access, correct or delete personal information you have sent through this site, or to ask a privacy question, contact ERI as described in ERI’s Privacy Policy ↗: ERI, 7815 N. Palm Avenue, Suite 140, Fresno, California 93711, Attn: General Counsel.
